How much does a private chef cost in Colorado?
Family-style service starts at $50 per person. Larger groups bring the per-head cost down — big buffet-style bookings can land near $15 per person — and plated multi-course menus cost more. You set your budget when you send the request, and chefs propose menus that fit it rather than quoting from a fixed price list.
Which parts of Colorado do you cover?
Our chefs cover the Denver metro and the Front Range, and travel to the mountain towns — Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Breckenridge and the rest of Summit County, Steamboat Springs and Telluride. Colorado chefs on our platform serve the whole state, so the question is availability on your dates rather than whether we reach you.
Will a chef come to my Airbnb or vacation rental?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do — 43% of every chef request we receive comes from an Airbnb or vacation rental. Chefs cook in rentals, condos, chalets and ski houses across Colorado. Give us the property address when you book so the chef can plan travel and check the kitchen.
Does the chef do the shopping and the cleanup?
Both. The chef plans the menu with you, does all the grocery shopping, cooks in your kitchen, serves your table and cleans the kitchen before leaving. In a rental that last part matters — it is usually the difference between getting your cleaning deposit back and not.
How big a group can you cook for?
The average booking is around 9 guests, and our chefs have served parties as large as 50. Groups above about twelve usually work best family-style or buffet-style, which also lowers the cost per person compared with plated service.
How far in advance should I book?
For the mountain towns over Christmas, New Year, Presidents' Day and March spring break, book several weeks ahead — chef availability tightens on the same weeks the rentals do. In Denver and the Front Range, a few days is often enough, and same-week bookings are frequently possible.
What happens after I submit a request?
You tell us the date, location, group size, occasion and budget. Chefs who can cover those dates send you a proposed menu and price. You compare them, pick one, and pay through the platform. Most requests get their first chef response within a couple of hours.
Can you handle dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, nut allergies and religious requirements are all routine. List them when you send the request rather than on the night — it lets the chef design one menu that works for the whole table.
